I had appointment to have MRI scan on 28th December 23. Such caring staff and a special word of Thanks to Emmet Doherty who was so attentive kind and considerate. Couldn't fault this department. Thank you.
Ward 44 nurses are great and the doctors nurses need more money for what they do 10/10 for me
My mother was left for 4 day in a@e she has demintia..one indian doctor was very rude to me there 2 times...after my mom got moved she has been moved around all over the hospitial...her weight and will to live leaving her,i requested 9 times from staff and some off the doctors on 3 wards one doctor saying he did not have time to deal with me,on ward 40 i was asking for food drinks for my mother to keep her weight up,my mother was walking when she came to this hospitial but that has ended they never let her out of bed,she was in a poorly run and staffed care home now she is in a place were she is loosing the will to live on ward 40.
I would like to acknowledge and thank two of the kindest paramedics ever, Aine and Damien based at Altnagelvin hospital. They listened to and treated me with such lovely care and they are a credit to their profession. They reassured me when I felt I was wasting their valuable time and made me feel worthy. All of the five stars I have given above relate directly to Aine and Damien. Disappointedly, I must add that some staff in the A&E department however should also relate to and treat patients with that same level of kindness and empathy as one day they too may be in need of care
A&e needs more staff, I sat in a chair in a&e for two days waiting for a bed. Being in pain and having no privacy and a bed was terrible. A&e staff are over worked and stressed. I’m so thankful for the doctor who realised I finely needed admitted to a ward…
The bed mangers needs help sorting out who gets a bed. Cause some people shouldn’t have to wait days for a bed…
The staff on ward 31 need medals. They have a lot of hard work. They was amazing at keeping me calm and looking after me. I am thankful for the staff on the ward
My elderly father was treated in A and E on 12th November I have nothing but praise for all the staff and ambulance personnel and Doctor who looked after him so well.
A special mention to a nurse called Vince who went above and beyond making my fathers stay overnight as comfortable as possible by getting him a hospital bed.
It means so much when treating a patient with dementia.
Was in A&E and TIA clinic in Altnagelvin in the past week and have only great things to say about the treatment I received.
Daughter was admitted via a and e on Friday and the care has received from everyone in the department was brilliant the doctor Eammon I think he was called saw she was anxious and treated her with urgency but without adding to an already scared patient the entire department is so busy staff are under pressure but they are a credit to the NHS as it isn’t stopping them delivering treatment triage nurse was lovely regardless of how busy it was every single person she called she greeted with a smile and how are you to everyone in a n e thankyou for no doubt saving my daughter life on a ward now and care and respect is great also honestly nothing but absolute admiration and respect for all our hospital staff
We visited radiology today. Out of 13 radiologists they had 3 due to covid. We were looked after by Jane who was amazing with my daughter and I just wanted to say thank you.
My dad has just been discharged from ward 25, orthopedic and trauma. The staff on the ward are brilliant! They could not do enough for him! Thanks to each and every one of you!
